“NOW is the time to pave the way for young Arab women to equally participate and lead the media entrepreneurship scene and have the confidence to showcase their authentic power.”
Sheikha Abrar Khaled Al Sabah overcame many barriers as a result of outdated patterns of behavior within the creation and production of content for film and television. Fortunately, she has been able to create a space for the next generation to express their outlooks on the future. Earning a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and specialising in Television and Radio from Gulf University of Science and technology (GUST) in Kuwait, Sheikha Abrar Al Sabah has become a representative for female investors in Kuwait.
Sheikha Abrar Al Sabah understood the impact of new-wave digital streaming platforms and the opportunities they provide for Arab content creators in the TV and film industry. Therefore, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sheikha Abrar Al Sabah trusted her instinct and educational background in media and established Abbey’s Productions in 2019.
In less than a year, Abbey’s Productions managed to successfully produce various TV series that were selected by renowned streaming platforms and broadcast channels.
